Business Litigation

Sometimes litigation is unavoidable when resolving business disputes; our attorneys can counsel and represent in all areas of business litigation. We frequently represent clients in business litigation involving contract disputes, business torts, non-compete agreements, and the dissolution of partnerships and corporations.

Collection of Judgments

Occasionally a litigant obtains a successful judgment but is unable to collect it because the judgment debtor becomes insolvent. It may be that the judgment debtor has transferred assets, or paid other creditors in a manner that still leaves those assets subject to the judgment.

Our attorneys are skilled in handling cases involving judgments against companies or individuals without assets, but who are affiliated with companies that do have assets. The legal issues in such cases include fraudulent transfers, fraudulent conveyances, preferences, piercing the corporate veil, alter ego, bulk sales, and successor liability. Our attorneys have domesticated judgments under the Uniform Enforcement of Foreign Judgments Act and have successfully pursued collection of those judgments. Oftentimes the aggressive pursuit of a judgment debtor leads to a resolution that is favorable for our clients.
