John McMichael focuses his legal practice on tax and wealth planning, estate planning, charitable planning, asset protection, trust administration and modification, and probate. He works with clients to design and implement family business succession plans. John also assists clients with complex tax planning related to sales of family businesses. In addition, John assists clients with all estate planning matters, including preparing Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Advance Directives in Healthcare.
Originally from Newnan, Georgia, John graduated from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia with a degree in Economics, and then received his Juris Doctor from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. John continued his education through the University of Alabama School of Law where he obtained his LL.M. in taxation, graduating summa cum laude.
John and his wife Kellam reside in Macon with their daughters, Charlotte and Carolyn. They attend Martha Bowman Church. In his spare time John enjoys Georgia football, hunting and tennis.
