John A. Wilkerson joined Hall, Bloch, Garland & Meyer, LLP in February 2019 as an associate. John was admitted to the bar in the fall of 2011 and John has represented real estate developers, nursing homes, financial institutions, and construction companies in a wide variety of litigation. John has also represented and advised businesses and individuals in litigation avoidance on issues such as contract terms, non-competition agreements, valuation disputes, and other business matters.
John also has extensive experience representing trustees, receivers, and other fiduciaries in Georgia’s courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitration. John continues practicing in all these areas at the trial and appellate level in Hall Bloch’s litigation section. Since joining Hall, Bloch John has represented Norfolk Southern Railway and CSX Transportation in a variety of litigation.
John graduated from Samford University in 2007, where he received a scholarship as a member of the Samford Debate Team. While at Samford, John was a three-time qualifier for the prestigious national debate tournament and was honored by the Cross-Examination Debate Association as an All-American as a sophomore. John graduated from Regent School of Law in 2011. While at Regent, John was selected to compete on behalf of Regent at the American Bar Association National Moot Court Competition as a second-year law student. John also served as a member of the Moot Court Board as a third-year law student and again competed on behalf of Regent during his final year.
John is admitted to practice in all of Georgia’s State and Federal Courts.
John is married to Stephanie Firth Wilkerson and has two sons, Hal and Sam. John enjoys reading, particularly on historical subjects. John follows the University of Georgia’s athletic teams and enjoys spending time with his family.
