Amanda Smith joined Hall, Bloch, Garland & Meyer, LLP in September 2007, following her graduation from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law. While in law school, Amanda clerked for the Honorable Robert F. Hershner, Jr., of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Georgia, Macon Division. Prior to attending Mercer, Mrs. Smith worked for the Speaker Pro Tem’s Office of the Georgia House of Representatives and as a lobbyist with the Troutman Sanders Public Affairs Group in Atlanta, Georgia.
Amanda has experience in a wide range of civil matters. She has represented transportation companies, insurance companies and their insureds, oil, and gas companies, litigants in probate matters, and many other businesses and individuals in all types of litigation. Amanda is admitted to practice in all Georgia trial and appellant courts as well as the federal district courts of Georgia, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Amanda is a 2003 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where she graduated summa cum laude. She is a 2007 graduate of Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law.
Amanda is married and has two children. She is a member of the W. A. Bootle American Inn of Court and is involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations, including Macon Area Habitat for Humanity, Historic Macon Foundation, and the Museum of Arts and Sciences, where she served as President of the Board of Directors and Festival of Trees chairman.
